Teen Pregnancy Signs



Many teens worry about teen pregnancy. However many of these same teens are not aware what the signs of teenage pregnancy really are. The easiest way to find out if you are pregnant is through a pregnancy test available at pharmacies and doctors, but teens may not be able to gain access to the pregnancy as easily as women from older age groups. For this reason many teenagers need guidance on what the symptoms of pregnancy actually so they can decide whether the assistance of the adults around them to look.

Among the first signs of pregnancy is a missed or late period. It is important to remember though that many teens very irregular cycles due to the clearance of hormones is a less reliable indicator for teens than for other age groups. A teenager with a period less than two weeks late should not be regarded as a possible sign of pregnancy, unless she has other reasons to believe that she may be pregnant.

A feeling of tiredness or weariness may another sign of teen pregnancy. There are of course other reasons for fatigue, too, so this symptom should not be considered. Pregnancy fatigue tends to be more overwhelming than other forms of fatigue.

Nausea and vomiting, which is extended and goes on for more than a few days, especially when it is felt mainly in the morning is another sign of pregnancy. Pregnancy is not usually cause diarrhea, so this may be a useful way to distinguish between a simple stomach bug pregnancy and disease.

Some women experience light spotting and teenagers in the early stages of pregnancy. While some people may mistake this for a period of very light, it is actually what is known as an implant bleed. This bleeding is caused by the implantation of the fertilized egg in the lining of the uterus.

An increased frequency of urination is often a sign of pregnancy. In early pregnancy, this is caused by hormonal changes in the body.

Breasts and general irritability may also be a sign of early pregnancy. However, it should be noted that these symptoms are also often suffer from women just before menstruation, so they might be an indicator that the teenager in question is not pregnant.

If having examined all of these symptoms a teen felt she could be pregnant it is important to go to a doctor, nurse or school other trusted adult praten so they can help them with pregnancy tests and to advise on the most appropriate next steps take.
